An early 19th century French silver coffee pot
maker's mark C R in a diamond shaped punch, Paris, 1st standard mark for 1809 - 1819
Hinged cover with lappet banded rim, seed pod finial, waisted cylindrical neck, bead rim and further lappet band above the ovoid body, the spout with flower, anthemion and leaf embellished lower junction and horses head capped spout, bearded mask below, script initialled, with similar decorative capped elongated supports terminating on paw feet, ebonised wood handle, roundel upper junction, height 31.5cm, weight total 32.5oz.
