A mid 20th century Indian metalware scroll holder on stand
apparently unmarked, circa 1940
The scroll holder of cylindrical form with double domed ends and orb terminals, two applied girdles, the body profusely embossed with farming scenes around a central scrolling reserve with presentation inscription, the ebonised wood stand with twin supports, the centre with applied metalware map of India and entwined enamelled Indian and Pakistan flags, raised on four bun feet, length of scroll holder 41cm.
