Rectangular form, one with all-over engine-turned decoration, the hinged cover with rectangular cartouche engraved with initials, length 7.8cm the other of slightly convex form, the hinged cover engraved with monogram and wave embellishments, length 5.5cm; together with a third example, by John Shaw, Birmingham 1820 rectangular form, the hinged cover engraved with a dedication, length 6.5cm, all with gilt interiors, weight 7oz.
