Shaped-rectangular form, sides profusely bright engraved with leaf scrolls, in original fitted case, together with a trinket box, by William Comyns, Birmingham 1907, the hinged cover with a foliate border, centred with an embossed cartouche depicting a coach and horses, flanked by bells among scrolls, serpentine sides, on shell-capped and stepped hoof feet.
