Classical urn form with beaded rim, the dome-hinged cover with flowering bud finial on a leafy calyx, the leaf-capped bifurcated scroll handle with ivory insulators, the neck embossed with foliate husk swags between ribbons, above a stiff leaf border, the body embossed with foliate husk swags incorporating masks, above a graduated stiff leaf border between beaded rims, central oval reserve with presentation inscription "Q.W.R.V, 16th (Soho) Company Ladies Challenge Cup, 1870", on a spreading circular base with a stiff leaf border, height 35cm, weight 34oz.
