A Victorian silver-gilt novelty vesta case

Rectangular form, the reverse engraved with a seated smoking monkey, the hinged cover engraved with foliate scrolls, central reserve, length 6cm, together with a William IV silver 'book' vinaigrette, by Taylor & Perry, Birmingham 1836, the front and rear engraved with foliate scrolls, the grill pierced with a central flowerhead flanked by foliate scrolls, initialled and a modern book vinaigrette.
