maker's mark possibly for Afanasievich Fyodor Stroganov, Moscow, with kokoshnik for 1908 - 26, also with Latvian marks for the period 1922 - 40
Rectangular form with shaped fan design, the hinged cover applied with a gem-set Imperial Eagle set with a cabochon, over a translucent red enamelled oval reserve, gem-set surround and flanked by the dates 1613 and 1913, applied scroll-work above and below, cabochon thumbpiece, length 11cm, weight total 157gms.
