One formed as a pear, the body unscrewing to reveal three spice compartments, all-over machine-turned zig-zag decoration, the top with applied stem and leaves, the other formed as an acorn, with ring attachment and knop finial, engraved basketwork body that unscrews to reveal two spice compartments, the lower stem with applied acorn detail which unscrews in half to reveal additional secret compartment; together with another unmarked German silver example, of egg form, with spiral fluting and all-over machine-turned engraving, unscrewing in half to reveal a spice compartment, an unmarked silver vinaigrette, spherical form, machine-turned body, unscrewing in half to reveal a gilt filigree-style grill, gilt interior, an unmarked silver thimble pomander, with filigree sides, the base unscrewing to reveal a small scent bottle, a silver nutmeg grater, maker's mark T&P, Birmingham 1831, melon form, hinging in half to reveal a hinged steel grater, a silver thimble, maker's mark T&S, Chester 1915, machine decorated with starburst motifs, and a silver circular patch box, by Samual Pemberton, Birmingham 1805, with stylized Greek key rim.
