Comprising: An 18th French silver mounted lacquered tortoiseshell box, marks rubbed, circa 1770, of oval form, the cover painted with a family scene, with bright-engraved mounts, the cover with a paste and semi-precious gem set floral band, the body with four similar applied bouquets, length 8cm, A 19th century Chinese Export style snuff box, with French import marks for Paris circa 1780, of rectangular form, the cover repousse-chased with a scene from Oriental life, the sides chased with fruiting vines, length 6.5cm, An early 19th century Russian silver and niello snuff box, maker's mark rubbed, circa 1815, of shaped rectangular form, enamelled profusely with foliate scrolls, An 18th century continental silver snuff box, maker's mark 'AP' with mullet and device below, of circular form, the cover and base engraved with a floral band with several smaller reeded bands, diameter 6cm, a William III silver and ivory snuff box, apparently unmarked, possibly English circa 1690, the ivory cover engraved with a classical scene, length 8cm, a 'Vernis Martin' box, of circular form with gold inlaid borders, tortoiseshell interior, diameter 8cm, a late 19th century tartan ware box, of circular form with reeded sides, tortoiseshell interior, diameter 7.5cm, an 18th century silver mounted tortoiseshell tobacco box, possibly Dutch, circa 1760, of oval fluted form, the body inlaid with silver dots and central shield, initialled, length 8.5cm, two 19th century silver mounted hardstone boxes, apparently unmarked, one, of rectangular tapering form, with a beige agate body, the other, of square form with green hardstone body, reeded mounts, a plain green hardstone box, of circular form, diameter 6.5cm, a blue john dish, diameter 6cm, two late 18th century ceiling wax holders, of cylindrical form, one with a red lacquered body painted with birds and flowers, the other with a plain fruitwood body with gold mounts, together with three 18th century enamel pill boxes and an enamelled tray.
