Pierre Chasselat (French, 1753-1814)
A Lady, seated, wearing white dress with frilled trim to her décolleté, pale yellow shawl edged with teal draped about her shoulders and tied over her bust, teal redingote, her natural hair worn à la conseilleur, she holds an ink quill in her right hand, her open portfolio propped against a Classical bust of a man.
Gilt-mounted square papiér-mâché frame.
