A Gentleman, wearing lilac coat and waistcoat lined with turquoise blue fur, white stock and lace cravat, black stock loosely tied, his powdered wig worn en queue and tied with a wide black ribbon bow.
Signed on the obverse and dated J.S./ 1769, gilt-metal frame with engraved bracelet clasp mounts, suspension loop to the reverse.
