  • Second Lieutenant George Marsden Popple died of wounds on 26.6.1916, aged 21. He is remembered in the Authuile Military Cemetry. He was the son of Mr and Mrs J.Popple of Castlethorpe Hall, Brigg, Lincolnshire.
