    For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. In defence of a bridge-head, when an enemy armoured car advanced killing two men along side him, he kept his Lewis gun in action and forced it to retire, saving a critical situation.

    The lot comes with a small folder of research relating to the Devon Regiment, his MIC notes just his entitlement to a pair. He was from Camelford, Devon. He died on the 17th May 1970 and is buried in the Canadian Legion Veterans Cemetry, Brandon, Manitoba, Canada.
