    Served with 431 Squadron. He joined up in July 1941 and trained in Canada. On his return he served as an Air Bomber and Air Gunner but primarily Air Bomber. His first Op was in May 1943 to Bochum, this continued with Ops to all the major cities including Dusseldorf, Berlin and Frankfurt. His last Op was on 26th March.

    The lot comes with an assortment of original documentation and ephemera including Buckingham Palace slip, silk escape maps, Service and Release Book, Pilot's notes, Newspaper Cuttings. Log books covering his service which included 23 Sorties
