  • Private George Rix was born at Elsing, he enlisted at Swanton Morley, he served with the 7th Bn Norfolk Regiment, and was killed in action on 3.7.1916, aged 31. He was the son of Mr and Mrs J.Rix of Elsing, East Dereham, Norfolk. He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.

    Private William Sidney Rix was born at Elsing, he enlisted at Wroxham (Elsing), he served with the 2nd Royal Fusiliers and was killed in action on 19th August 1918, aged 20. He was the son of Mr and Mrs J.Rix of Elsing, East Dereham, Norfolk. He is commemorated on the Ploegsteert Memorial.
