Built by J Garven Wood in 1987.
Built by Cammell, Laird & Co. Ltd. Birkenhead, for the General Steam Navigation Co. as flagship on their London, Southend, Margate and Ramsgate services. Requisitioned as an anti aircraft vessel in WW2, she made several trips to the Dunkirk beachhead in 1940. After the war, she returned to service running up to Clacton, but was scrapped in 1953.
