The flat whalebone blade with polychrome decoration of female figures, with a trophy of arms and geometric edging. Inscribed on the top Captain James Wells Whaler Dove Greenport. Fitted with a whale's tooth handle, banded and pinned with baleen and inscribed J.W. 12ins. (31cm) long.
