    The traditional 'Review of the Fleet' to celebrate the present Queen's Coronation took place on 15th June 1953 and featured 197 British warships of all types and classes under the command of Admiral Sir George Creasy. In addition to the ships of the Royal Navy, there were also present 13 Commonwealth warships, 16 foreign warships and various representative ships of the British Merchant Navy and Fishing fleets.

    Depicted here, from left to right, are the Swedish cruiser Göta Lejon, the Spanish cruiser Miguel de Cervantes, the Brazilian cruiser Barroso and the fleet aircraft carrier H.M.S. Indomitable.
