Footnotes

  • The topsail schooner Guillelmo, 119-tons, was built by Georges Deslandes at St. Helier, Jersey, in 1835 and originally owned by H. Machon & Co. of the same port. At the beginning of her career, she traded regularly for some years to Faro (Portugal) under Captain Godfrey but, in 1843, was sold to J. Renouf & Co. who started running her to Brazil under Captain Durell. By the mid-1850s, following another change of ownership, she was operating in local waters as a coaster and disappears from record in the late 1860s.
