the arched breakfront top surmounted by a brass swing handle, on a plinth base with reticulated sound frets to the sides, raised on four bun feet, the painted dial signed and with Roman numerals, surmounted by a subsidiary dial for Strike / Silent, the twin train fusee movement striking on a bell and with anchor escapement, with pull repeat cord, the backplate signed P.G. DODD 79 Cornhill London, 49cm high
