A George III mahogany bell top bracket clock
by William Skeew, London
the bell top surmounted by a brass handle and flanked by four foliate finials, the arched glazed sides above a plinth base and bracket feet, the brass dial with gilt scrolling spandrels, matted centre and silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and Arabic minute marks, with a subsidiary Strike / Silent dial above and date aperture below, the twin train fusee movement with verge escapement striking on a bell, the backplate finely engraved with a Ho Ho bird and trailing bell flowers, 50cm high
