An unusual late 19th century French painted wood and gilt brass carriage clock

the case with a pad top surmounted by a swing handle modelled as a pair of entwined serpents, with a repeat button, the canted corners with scrolling mounts terminating in hoof feet, raised on a plinth base with four toupie feet, the painted mask enclosing the signed, white enamelled dial with Roman numerals, the twin train movement striking on a gong and with alarm dial fitted to the back, with the Drocourt monogram, 17cm high
