the tall rectangular case set with four porcelain panels depicting figures, birds and flowers within gilt-edged borders on a blue ground, surmounted by a seated cherub holding a garland of flowers over a drum adorned with matching swags set on a central column to a an oval plinth, the signed 4 inch enamel Roman and Arabic dial with pierced gilt hands, the movement with silk suspension and outside countwheel strike on a bell 55cms high
