Two late 19th century Austrian or Swiss stipple carved, stained and penwork decorated beech chairs
the armchair with a clover leaf shaped splat decorated with a Bacchic old man within an entwined grape-sprouting vine leaf arbour, above a vine leaf patterned seat, the side chair with a spade shaped splat centred with a young girl encompassed by flowers, above a seat decorated with a coastal scene signed: 'Mrs C. Mann, 1903', both chairs terminating in spreading baluster legs, both probably originally forming part of a larger set, the armchair: 69cm wide, the side chair: 46cm wide, (2)
