A royal sitter, possibly Louis XVI (1754-1793), King of France and Navarre, wearing blue coat edged with gold, red waistcoat, white chemise, stock and lace cravat, the Order of the Holy Spirit on his left breast, his wig powdered, clubbed and tied with a black ribbon bow.
Rectangular gilt-wood frame with laurel leaf border.
