the drum case surmounted by an eagle clasping a serpent, flanked each side by two urns, one in marble and one in bronze, with a floral garland above, the case above a pair of column supports wrapped with scrolling foliage, flanked by a further pair flower filled urns, on a shaped plinth base, with a pierced pendulum modelled as a pair of carnations, the signed white enamelled dial with Roman numerals, the twin train movement with silk suspension and outside countwheel, striking on a bell, 36cm wide, 11cm deep, 51.5cm high (14" wide, 4" deep, 20" high)
