the oval four glass clock case with bevelled plates, flanked by four free-standing columns on ringed tapering bases and surmounted by fruiting finials, flanked by a further pair of free-standing similar columns, on a shaped base above six toupie feet, the hinged door enclosing the Roman dial with enamel bezel and centre, the drum movement with mercury compensating pendulum, striking on a gong, 41.5cm high
