A third quarter 19th century French gilt bronze mantel clock by Barbedienne
or architectural form surmounted by a broken arch pediment with a cartouche above and swags of fruit, the bevelled edge glass sides and front flanked by a pair of rams mask mounts and scrolling supports surmounted by urns, on foliate cast toupie feet, the glazed hinged door enclosing the twelve piece enamelled dial with Roman numerals, signed BARBEDIENNE PARIS, the twin train movement striking on a bell, with sunburst pendulum, raised on Rouge Griotte marble plinth with gilt beaded edge, 53cm high
