An early 20th century mahogany fitted dressing table

fitted with an extensive selection of associated faux tortoiseshell and silver fittings, the hinged top enclosing a folding triptych dressing mirror surmounted with two detachable electric lamps and hinged compartments folding out to the sides and containing trays, the trays each with further hinged shaped shelves to the underside each inset with a panel of bevelled glass, the hinged trays revealing further fitments to the main body of the table, above two short drawers and a kneehole, on square tapering legs terminating in brass cappings and castors, incorporating a complete associated dressing set including three brushes, four scent bottles, two glass jars, two combs, two scissors, two small tooth brushes, a hand mirror, a tray, a large powder jar, a button hook and a glove stretcher, stamped with a mark to the underside for: 'GEORGE BETJEMANN & SONS', the top with an ivorine plaque bearing: 'EDWARD, SILVERSMITHS TO H.M. THE KING, 92 BUCHANAN STREET, GLASGOW, 91cm wide x 59cm deep x 99cm high, (35.5" wide x 23" deep x 38.5" high)
