Bonhams 1793 : Rare Steiff PB Rod Teddy bear, 1904-05

The straw filled brown mohair bear with black boot button eyes, replaced stitched nose, black stitched mouth and claws, swivel head and jointed at shoulders and hips with firm metal rod, hump to back, elongated arms, and large feet with felt paw pads, (wear to mohair with some bald areas all over, upper pads recovered, small hole to each lower pad), wearing a red and gold braided waistcoat and wizards hat, 43cm (17in) tall.
