The large round papier-mache head with blue glass eyes, holes to nostrils, painted lashes, brows, ruddy cheeks and mouth with soft kid leather chin, short brown hair and with hollow body for arm, carved wooden hands and wearing Naval uniform, levers to pole to activate eyes to look from side to side and mouth to open and close, showing teeth, together with velvet trousers and blazer, (head repainted), together with photographs of the doll with original owner, purchased at Davenports late 1920's, 125cm (49in) tall.
