A Wedgwood Jasperware plaque
Circa 1860, of circular form, with plated rope-twist rim, the plaque decorated in bas-relief with central scene of 'The Dipping of Achilles', with two women holding flaming torches, one dangling Achilles over an urn, bordered by bands of floral and foliate garlands, with a band of geometric floral patterns to the rim, with impressed 'WEDGWOOD' to reverse, 23.5cms diameter.
