A pair of 19th century bronze figures on marble plinths
The first modelled as Mercury or Hermes, sparsely clothed, wearing winged helmet and sandals, carrying a bottle and a staff, signed 'J. de Bologne', and the second figure modelled as a naked goddess, brandishing a trumpet or bugle in one hand, and a branch in the other, signed 'Sobre', both figures balanced on one foot on a gust of air from a cherub base modelled as Wind, in turn mounted on circular, tiered, orange marble mounts, 48cms high (some losses) (2).
