A Chinese bronze ritual hanging censer
18th/19th Century
All three sections cast in high relief, the slender handles flanking the lower bowl formed by two scaly three-clawed dragons, the willowy central pendulum also formed from a snarling ferocious dragon detailed with fire scrolls and rising to the upper bell shaped pierced vessel cast with openwork scrolls and incised lotus flowers;
overall 55cm long, moulded six-character mark to base.
