An Edwardian silver five piece presentation tea and coffee service
by Nathan and Hayes, Chester 1903, hot water pot by the same maker, Birmingham 1904
Of oval baluster form with floral embossed and chased lower body and cover, gadrooned border, ebonised handles and finials, raised on four ball feet, comprising; tea pot, hot water pot, coffee pot, sugar bowl, milk jug together with a pair of similar sugar tongs, monogrammed , height of coffee pot 23.5cm, weight 75oz.

    Day, Summers and Co. Ltd., of Northam Iron Works on the Itchen near Southampton, were builders of ferries and small vessels, boilermakers and engineers from 1834, the firm was liquidated in 1938 and taken over by Thornycroft and Co. Ltd.
