A Chinese bronze elephant censor
19th Century, Daoguang seal mark
Modelled and cast as an elephant dressed in ceremonial dress, it's trunk held upright, cast in high relief with dragons and adorned with a pierced two-tiered pagoda, surmounted by a wrythen dragon;
40cm high, seal mark to underside of base, (small losses).
