Bonhams 1793 : Two Continental figure groups

Both depicting a Classical courting couple, the first with a man reclining at the feet of a maiden sat on a grassy bank, holding her hand, a lamb at her feet and bocage behind, on a naturalistic oval base with encrusted flowers, 14.5cms high, and the second of a man knelt before a lady sat on a plush stool, the lady helping with his tie, in a naturalistic landscape with bocage behind and encrusted flowers, 15cms high (small losses to both) (2).
