A mixed collection of brasswares
Including two knopped candlesticks, marked with initials VR and crown symbol, one with number 292 and the other 1772, 22cms and 20cms high, with five pairs of knopped candlesticks, all on octagonal bases, of varying height from 15.5cms to 27cms high, and a pair of small, knopped candlesticks on circular bases, 10.5cms high, with a further pair of candlesticks, each modelled as a chained Egyptian slave, the cylindrical stems with heiroglyphs, 24cms high, and a desk bell, 10.5cms high, together with a brass ink stand, modelled with two circular ink wells with hinged covers, set in a decorative stand with winged griffins with helmeted faces, 17cms high and 35cms long, a figure of a bearded warrior on horseback, 24cms high, a decorative stand, 26cms high, a cat door knocker, and a decorative ink well modelled as a hinged egg, supported by three brass dogs on a circular tiered base, 14cms high (22).
