A floor-standing wrought iron candle holder, probably 18th century
The tapering and knopped central stem fitted with a sliding carrier of two branches, each fitted to the end with a candle socket in a dished drip-pan, the carrier with a pair of hooks and swivelling and adjusting in height by means of a pair of curving sprung arms, all raised on three downswept supports terminating in round pad feet, 132cm high
