Featuring a central curtained shield-shaped 'E.F.' monogram, flanked by two oval fretwork panels to a floral carved ground, framed,
fan length 25.5cm.

  • Provenance: There is a family link to the Gurney/Fry family, with the suggestion that the fan belonged to Elizabeth Fry (1780 – 1845), née Gurney, the English prison and social reformer and Christian philanthropist.
