A Royal Worcester 'Grotesque stork' ewer
Dated 1887
The swept panelled body decorated with finely detailed rural scenes, reserved against a cream ground, segmented by a pierced and beadwork collar and rising to a moulded stork and a solid gilt upright beak, the scrolling handle moulded as a fish mounted on acanthus leaf terminals ; 28.5cm high, puce printed mark and printed and inscribed pattern number 1130.
