A pair of Japanese Arita baluster Jars and Covers

Each of baluster from, enamelled with three irregular cartouches in iron-red, cobalt and gilt glazes, depicting cranes amongst pine and blossoms lotus, segmented by large clusters of tight flowering peony, beneath stiff lappet panels descending from the neck, the domed covers similarly decorated beneath large crouching eagle finials; 64cm high.
