The ovoid porcelain piece with blue floral garlands, and gilt-metal mounts, suspended on a gilt-metal base, the hinged cover opening to reveal a miniature vanity set of mirror, thimble, hat pin, file, and snuff holder, 8.5cms high, together with a slender, French, bottle-shaped vase, with a cloud-shaped panel with bouquet of flowers, against a blue ground with gilt branch-like patterns, the circular base and rim with decorative gilt bands, 21cms high (2).
