Four Continental clown figure groups
The first of a clown in a white outfit with large ruffed collar, wearing a black cap with large feather on it, modelled on a small, square base, marked to the underside G.GRANGET, Hutschenreuther, Germany, 27.5cms, the second clown modelled in brightly-patterned clothes and black bow tie, holding a fan in his right hand, stood next to a pedestal, on a gilt-lined circular base, 30cms, with the third clown of Italian origin, modelled in white clothes and cap with a black ruffed collar, the clown laughing and with his right arm outstretched pointing, stood on a square, grey base, 27cms, together with a figure group of a male and female clown, the man with yellow trousers and ruffed collar and red pointed hat, holding a mask in his right hand, his arms around a female clown who tries to ward him off, modelled on a gilt-lined oval base, the underside marked Katzhutte, 22.5cms (some losses and restoration) (4).
