  • Provenance: It was given to the vendor by Stanley Holmes, 1st Baron Dovercourt MP. Every year he gave a dinner for the touring cricket team often at The Houses of Parliament. In his position as Chairman of the Beecham Pharmaceutical Company he was a regular visitor to South Africa and a leading light in the M.C.C.
