West Herts Golf Club situated at Bushey Hall was established in 1890. In 1897 on failing to agree a lease with its landlords, the Club moved to the lovely grounds of the Earl of Essex at Cassiobury....
Albert Tingey Junior was born in Brancaster. He began as assistant at Woodcote but his career was interrupted by military service from 1914 until 1919. He returned to a professional's post at South Bedfordshire and in 1921, took over from his father at Frinton where he remained until 1956.
