R.Forgan & Son: A rare scared neck ebony headed long nose putter circa 1900
The head made of jet-black ebony is stamped 'R Forgan' with the Prince of Wales three feathered crest; the shaft is stamped 'R. Forgan & Son'. The score lines to the face are black and the sole does not have the traditional horn slip along the leading edge. The stamped shaft in a dark stain retains its original leather wrap round grip.
This original club is in fine condition and there are no apparent cracks or splits to the shaft or the head.
