A late 18th century flame mahogany eight-day longcase clock
Warry, Bristol
The round dial broken arch hood with a shaped cornice adorned with three Arabic style turned wooden finials, above a reeded arched frieze with roundel decoration, the hood flanked by reeded brass capped pillars above a long door with cross banded and boxwood stringing edge and a shield-shaped ivory escutcheon, flanked by canted sides, raised on a plain base with figured mahogany panels and a shaped plinth, the 12-inch white painted dial with painted Roman and Arabic numerals, secondary second and date dials, the four-pillar weight driven movement striking on a bell, 221cm high.
