A collection of twenty three porcelain dessert plates retailed by Daniell, London
Mid 19th century
Each painted to the centre with a different design, including scenes depicting courting couples, cherubs, a maiden inscribing her initials onto a tree, a shepherdess, a bathing maiden, a lady and her child gathering wheat sheaves etc, each plate with a turquoise coloured border with three kidney shaped panels painted with flowers, fruit and various trophies such as books, tools, arrows, instruments etc, all decoration enclosed within raised paste gilt borders, 25.5cm diameter, all with printed Daniell London retailer's mark, some with impressed letters
