A late 16th/early 17th century French oak caqueteuse armchair
The later rectangular cresting rail above an arched panelled back and solid seat, within outswept arms supported by columns, the rails with hobnail-cut and dentil decoration, on ring-turned legs joined by moulded stretchers (the cresting replaced and restorations), 66cm wide, 62cm deep, 99.5cm high (25.5" wide, 24" deep, 39" high).
